My First Sunshine Blogger Award

My deepest thanks to Barb from Inbarbsworld for always having a positive comment to my blog and offering guidance and encouragement. The Sunshine Blogger Award is an award in recognition for bloggers that inspire positivity and joy. As a fairly new blogger this means a lot to me and absolutely made my day – thank you Barb…

Here are the rules:

• Thank the blogger who nominated you.

• Answer the questions asked.

• Nominate other bloggers and ask them questions.

• List the rules and include the Sunshine Blogger Award logo in your post.

Here are the questions asked by Barb:

What do you love most about writing?

As I said in a recent post I just love the feel of a pen/pencil in my hand or a keyboard at my finger tips…I love that inspiration, that initial spark that comes to me and usually I decide to jot down some notes so that I can get back to it later. In the jotting down of the notes it just begins to flow and before I know it I have completed the post…I love the ability to use words in different subtle (or sometimes not so subtle) ways to transport the reader to another place, to make them laugh and/or think…when I write (even if its just for me in my journal) I feel centered and fulfilled – happy.

Why do you write, or Blog on WordPress?

I was introduced to the concept of blogging many years ago by a friend who we unfortunately lost just this year. She was a talented artist and opened my eyes to many different things. I love the idea of sharing my thoughts, questions and feelings with other people and I love reading other blogs for the same reason. I try to always be positive and grateful in my approach to life and my goal is to communicate that through my words to my readers and hopefully encourage and inspire…

When do you struggle with writing a post?

There are times when ideas don’t flow but I find that is usually when I am overwhelmed and busy or stressed in my day to day life. If I am conscious and take the time to breathe and detach, the ideas come and the writing process (even if it is not related to my day to day life events) is therapeutic for me.

Where do you see your writing this time next year?

I am learning more and more every day through feedback and other blogs/articles etc. I want to consistently improve so that my posts are clearer, perhaps more descriptive, more interesting and inspiring than they are now. I believe in constant improvement in whatever you do and blogging is no different.

And my nominees are:

A Crack in the Pavement

Feathery Thoughts

Lady Jabberwocky

Making the Most of Your Time on Earth

Rantings of an Amateur Chef

Sorryless

The Darkest Tunnel

The Travel Bite

Waking up on the Wrong Side of 50

Writer of Words, etc

Questions for my nominees:

  1. What continent/region of the world do you live on/in?
  2. Where do you find inspiration for your posts?
  3. What do you love to do?
  4. Where do you like to vacation?
  5. How did you choose the name for your blog?
  6. Is there anything that you would change about your life?
  7. Is there anything that you would like to change about your life?

Thanks again Barb for the nomination ❤️ and thank you to all you fellow bloggers who share bits of your life with us every day, inspiring us, teaching us, making us stop and think and best of all making us laugh…
